Purpose of Qur’an Programs

The purpose of the Qur’an Programs at Dar-us-Salaam is to ensure that every Muslim in the community is able to read the Qur’an properly, with the proper pronunciation and rules of reading the Qur’an. Through the Qur’an, Dar-us-Salaam hopes to further its mission of building a role model Muslim community. Additionally, there is a Hadeeth of Ar-Rasool sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam stating, “Hold tight to it (the Qur’an) (all of you), (and if you do so then) you will never go astray.”

Structure of Qur’an Programs

The Qur’an Programs at Dar-us-Salaam prepare Muslims of all ages to memorize and understand the entire Qur’an. Students first learn the basic skills of reading Qur’anic Arabic. Once they have mastered the reading skills, they are guided through the memorization of the entire Qur’an. Dar-us-Salaam offers a variety of Qur’an classes in order to accommodate different schedules and needs.
