Description: This class covers the Islamic viewpoint of death and dying, along with an explanation of the Islamic method of washing, shrouding, praying for and burying a deceased person. Attendees will participate in a hands-on demonstration of the washing and shrouding process. Due to the subject matter covered in this class, attendance is limited to adults and youth 14 and older.

Those participants who successfully pass a written and practical examination, usually held approximately one month after the workshop, will be awarded a certificate of competency and have the option to add their name to a list of volunteers who are willing and able to help in the event of a death.

Salatul Jumu'ah for community members and masjid staff is held at 1:15 PM at the Cherry Hill Manor/Knights of Columbus located at 9450 Cherry Hill Road, College Park, MD 20740.
